Meta expands Muse AI agent to small businesses with 15 app connectors
Meta on September 29 launched Muse for Small Business, adding Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe, Canva and other app connectors to its Muse AI agent so owners can run parts of their business by giving the agent goals. It is free for most uses and available in the US and Canada.
What happened
Meta on September 29, 2026 announced Muse for Small Business, a set of new business skills and third-party app connectors for its Muse personal AI agent. Named connectors: Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, and Zoom, plus access to a business's Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Muse was introduced September 8, 2026 as a personal agent that turns long-term goals into action plans; it runs on Muse Secure VM and is available in the US and Canada. Owners can give Muse goals like running parts of the business or finding new customers, and it keeps working after the app is closed.
Meta says nothing publishes, sends, or spends without user approval, and the agent shows a full audit trail. It is free for most uses, with paid plans for more. Sensor Tower estimates Muse recorded about 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks and topped free-app charts in the US and Canada.
Kevin Miller, Stripe's head of payments, said in the announcement that with Muse and Stripe you can find new customers, send invoices and payment links, and manage products and prices without leaving the chat.
Why it matters
Muse is the direct rival to OpenAI's Dots, which launched at DevDay 2026 on the same day with an enterprise focus. Meta is moving upmarket from personal tasks into commercial workflows — competing on commerce, accounting, and marketing rather than just chat. With free-for-most pricing and 2.8M early downloads, Meta is pressing its consumer-distribution advantage while OpenAI pitches businesses on Dots specialist agents.
