Dots product lead Alexander Embiricos brings Dots to TechCrunch Disrupt's AI Stage
Two weeks after Dots launched at DevDay, OpenAI's Dots product lead Alexander Embiricos takes the AI Stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 (Oct 13-15, Moscone West, San Francisco) for his first public deep-dive on the always-on agent — and the privacy and control questions that come with it.
What happened
OpenAI's Alexander Embiricos, the product lead for Dots, will join TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 on the AI Stage at Moscone West in San Francisco, October 13-15, for a conversation about Dots, the always-on personal AI agents OpenAI launched on September 29, 2026 at DevDay. TechCrunch announced the appearance on October 7, 2026. Embiricos co-founded Multi, a collaboration tool OpenAI acquired in June 2024, before leading the Dots product. The Disrupt lineup also names Dots among its AI sessions alongside Anthropic's Cat de Jong and Nvidia's Les Karpas.
Verified October 12, 2026.
Why it matters
This is the Dots team's first public deep-dive since the September 29 launch, coming days before the event opens, and the autonomy of always-on agents raises privacy and control questions the session is expected to address. OpenAI is positioning Dots as its answer to Meta's Muse, the always-on agent that launched in early September 2026.
