OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI to ChatGPT's Chat tab globally today for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, expanding to Free and Go users tomorrow.
What happened
OpenAI announced on its official LinkedIn account on October 7 that GPT-6 with Intelligent UI is now rolling out in ChatGPT for everyone. Intelligent UI means GPT-6 composes responses using text, visuals, and interactive elements chosen based on the question: responses can include graphics and charts to help explain an idea, plus tappable buttons, forms, and interactive experiences you can use directly in the conversation. The rollout goes to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users globally today, and expands to Free and Go users starting tomorrow. Under the hood, GPT-6 in ChatGPT is powered by GPT-6 Sol for the paid tiers and GPT-6 Luna for Free and Go, both tuned for everyday conversation. The update applies to the Chat tab in ChatGPT; the models powering Work and Codex are not changing as part of this release.
Why it matters
When OpenAI launched GPT-6 Sol and Luna on September 22, they were available in ChatGPT Work and Codex but not in the Chat tab. This rollout puts the GPT-6 family into Chat for the first time, reaching every tier including Free within a day. It is OpenAI's bid to make everyday answers more visual and interactive without making users leave the conversation.
