OpenAI launched Codex Cloud, which lets developers hand off coding tasks that run on OpenAI's infrastructure instead of on their own machines. Tasks keep running with the laptop closed, and developers can continue from desktop, web, or mobile.
Why it matters
Codex Cloud is rolling out to Plus, Pro, Business, Healthcare, Education, and Enterprise plans. Business and Enterprise workspaces can share environments so teams reuse the same setup.
Environments
Reusable development environments hold a project's repositories, dependencies, tools, and access settings. Each task gets its own workspace.
Codex CLI refresh
The refresh adds two-way voice control, a new /agents view to track and switch between delegated tasks, plus prompt editing, session resumption, and Git worktree improvements.
