OpenAI launches 'Sign in with ChatGPT' with 16 partners, plus an enterprise Marketplace
Users can now spend their ChatGPT plan's tokens inside 16 partner apps like Devin, Notion, and Vercel, while enterprises can put part of their OpenAI spending commitment toward partner software.
What happened
At DevDay 2026 in San Francisco on September 29, OpenAI launched "Sign in with ChatGPT": users can sign into partner apps with their ChatGPT account and spend the tokens that come with their own plan. It launches with 16 partners, including Cognition's Devin, Notion, Vercel, T3, OpenClaw, and Dactyl. Plus and Pro users can spend their plan's usage in those tools and set a per-app limit.
Why it matters
Shipping an AI app normally means paying for every new user's model usage before they've paid you anything. With Sign in with ChatGPT, the user brings their own AI budget — developers compete on product quality instead of on how many tokens they can afford to give away. The new $500/month Pro 500 plan's usage also works across partner apps through Sign in with ChatGPT.
OpenAI Marketplace
For enterprises, OpenAI launched a Marketplace: enterprise customers can put part of their existing OpenAI spending commitment toward approved partner software. It launches with 32 partners, including CodeRabbit, Notion, Vercel, Figma, and ServiceNow, plus open-source models through a partnership with Baseten.
