Reduck raises $3M to let AI agents automate websites without APIs
French-American startup Reduck raised a $3M pre-seed led by Daphni to build an MCP platform with 1,200+ reusable browser-automation scripts across 250+ sites, so AI agents can work websites that expose no API.
What happened
French-American startup Reduck raised a $3 million pre-seed round led by Daphni, with Drysdale Ventures and Galion.exe participating, Tech.eu reported on October 22. The round funds Reduck MCP, a platform built on the Model Context Protocol that lets AI agents discover, execute, and create browser-automation scripts on their own, without an engineer wiring up each integration first. Its library already holds more than 1,200 ready-to-run scripts covering over 250 websites, and Reduck claims up to 3x faster and cheaper execution on covered tasks. Co-founder and COO Raphaël Millet framed the gap on LinkedIn: "the software industry is on fire with Agents but there is a key issue today blocking them: providing them reliable tools when no API exists."
Why it matters
Agentic AI keeps hitting the same wall. The tasks agents are hired for, like booking travel, filing expenses, and updating CRMs, mostly live on sites with no API. Reduck is betting the fix is shared, reusable, agent-built automations rather than per-customer integrations. If the library approach proves reliable against login flows and site redesigns, it removes a real bottleneck for always-on agents operating across the open web.
