Tibo confirms the Day-3 banked Codex reset has landed in all paid accounts, closing the loop on his "will be there by EOD PST" promise.
What happened
Tibo (@thsottiaux on X, OpenAI's Codex product lead) posted around 9:10 PM PDT on October 7 that the banked usage reset he loaded into paid accounts earlier today has "confirmed landed across all accounts", and asked "How are we doing so far?" This completes the Day-3 arc: earlier the same day he announced a new GPT-6 version coming to all ChatGPT users ("going beyond text"), posted "Day 3/" marking a new high of 40 million active users across Codex and ChatGPT Work, and said "Loading a banked reset in everyone's paid accounts. See you again tomorrow!" with a "Will be there by EOD PST" note.
Why it matters
A banked reset is saved to the account and redeemed manually, unlike an automatic global reset. Paid Codex and ChatGPT Work users who were waiting on today's promised banked reset can now check their accounts for it.
