Tibo posted a surprise global Codex usage-limit reset on Oct 20, 06:33 UTC: "Day 15/ Nevermind, we're still cooking... and reset. Enjoy."

What happened

Thibault Sottiaux (@thsottiaux), OpenAI's Codex and ChatGPT Work lead, posted a surprise global Codex usage-limit reset about 53 minutes before it was recorded (Oct 20, 06:33 UTC — 11:33 PM PDT Oct 19). The post read, in full: "Day 15/ Nevermind, we're still cooking... and reset. Enjoy." It drew about 4,660 likes and 1,530 replies within the first hour.

It counts as the Day 15 entry of his 28-day ship-or-reset challenge, where each day he either ships an improvement or triggers a full reset. Earlier the same day he had already posted the Day 15 improvement note ("Day 15/ We're cooked"), so Day 15 ended up with both an improvement post and a reset.

Why it matters

A global reset refills the 5-hour and weekly Codex usage limits for every eligible account at once, with nothing to do. The last global reset before this one was the Day 13 reset on Oct 17. Resets have been landing roughly every 2-3 days through the challenge.
