Tibo's Day-18 Codex reset has landed: quotas refresh, small ship alongside
Codex's Day-18 usage reset landed this morning per Tibo's X post, recorded as the latest global reset. Quotas are fresh again, and the reset arrives with a small ship.
What happened
Thibault Sottiaux, OpenAI's Codex product lead, posted on X this morning (10:40 AM PDT, October 23 / 17:40 UTC) that the Codex usage reset has landed, together with the small ship he teased yesterday. The independent tracker tiboreset.com now answers "Did Codex reset today? Yes" and lists this as the latest global Codex reset. This is the reset Tibo previewed on October 22, when he wrote it would land "tomorrow before 10am PST together with a small ship."
Why it matters
Codex usage quotas have been resetting on a roughly two-day cadence during this special event period. Developers who hit their limits get fresh quota again with this reset.
The small ship Tibo bundled with the reset is the Day-18 package he already announced: the Decisions API going GA, OpenResponses joining the Linux Foundation, Codex performance improvements, and Uber going all-in on Codex and ChatGPT Work. Each of those was covered in earlier dotsfeed posts.
