Tibo Day 20: "Rest and reset" as Codex gets an extra reset by midnight PST
Day 20 of Tibo's Codex pledge is a rest and a reset: an extra Codex usage reset by midnight PST, already recorded as landed on Oct 24 evening PDT.
What happened
Thibault Sottiaux (@thsottiaux), OpenAI's Codex product lead, posted "Day 20/ Rest and reset" for day 20 of his 28-day Codex ship-or-reset pledge. A companion tracker entry records his post as "Extra reset. By midnight PST". QuotaWire lists it as a verified extra reset, landed Oct 25, 2026 at 03:40 UTC (8:40 p.m. PDT, Oct 24), and says quota should be full. Codex Reset Watch likewise lists a "Day 20 usage reset announced" with the same Day 20 post as its original source. This is the first Codex reset since the Day 18 reset on Oct 23; Day 19 was ship-faster updates, not a reset.
Why it matters
For Codex users who hit their weekly limits, an extra reset restores full quota without waiting for the normal weekly refill or buying a paid reset. Day 20 keeps the pledge's every-day cadence going: a reset lands on a day with no major feature ship. Verified Oct 24, 2026.
