On the evening of October 12, 2026, OpenAI Codex product lead Thibault Sottiaux announced a global usage-quota reset for Codex and ChatGPT Work users. The announcement, timed about 6:03 PM PDT, said the reset would land "by EOD PST time" and added "Enjoy." It is tagged Day 8 of the 28-day ship-or-reset program Sottiaux launched on October 4, in which each day either ships a clear improvement for Codex and ChatGPT Work users or ships a full usage reset.
